Course Content (Syllabus)
The contribution of these three major philosophical figures to modern moral philosophy is traced down through an analysis of their relevant positions. Their role in the formation of the utilitarian tradition is underlined and reference is made to their shortcomings and their actuality. Special emphasis is placed on the rather neglected and often misunderstood thought of Jeremy Bentham.
