Course Content (Syllabus)
The Science of Logic does not deal with what is traditionally perceived as logic: It does not merely analyze the form of thinking (concept, judgment, syllogism etc.), but also deals with the content of thought. The work unfolds Hegel’s ontology, with the intention to show that the structure of reality (or objectivity) ultimately coincides with the structure of thought (or subjectivity). We will study intensively and closely the two Prefaces, the Introduction and the transitional section labeled "With What must Science begin?", using a new Greek translation of these texts.
