Learning Outcomes
The student learns how the european market must be structured and function based on the principals of free or antitrust competition law,as it is provided in the relevant european legislation and is applied by european case law.According to these principals each market factor must act independently,avoiding collusions with competitors,and must not abuse any dominant position of his undertaking.Also,the procedural application by the competent european organs of the above povisions is examined.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course is dealing with anti-trust or free competition law based on art.101 to 109 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union. The following subjects are covered: -Anticompetitive agreements,decisions,concerted practices and relative exemptions. -Abusive exploitation of dominant position -Public monopolies -State aids -Procedural application of art.101 and 102(Reg.1/2003) -Mergers(Reg.139/2004)
