Course Content (Syllabus)
Expanded advanced design studio. Parallel to concept structuration, it aims at design that can address the requirements of an international competition. It explores interrelationships among architectural narrative with place, space, form and programme through the design of a Museum of Modern Art. The brief will address the requirements of an international competition for the design ofa Museum of Modern Art in Taiwan. Natural and artificial landscape, boundary, spatiality, movement, materiality, as well as architectural and museological narrative will be examined in interrrelation.
Design will be on level of preliminary study, with the production of an A3 dossier as the final presentation. The ability to use multiple means and programmes is required, while the use of working models is strongly encouraged.
