Learning Outcomes
In the framework of this course, the students are expected to be able:
1) to understand the principles of earthquake-resistant design of steel structures
2) to check and design eccentrically braced frames.
3) to understand fatigue phenomena and to check the design of crane girders.
4) to design K- and N-joints of trusses made of hollow sections.
5) to understand the principles of design for fire and to check simple members under fire.
