THE BASIC PURPOSE OF THE COURSE IS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENTS TO THE BASIC THECHNIQUES THAT CAN BE USED TO SOLVE VARIOUS PROBLEMS THAT EXIST IN BUSINESS. THESE TECHNIQUES HELP THE MANAGERS TO DECISION MAKING.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT PERT/CPM, PERT/COST, MARKOV CHAINS (TRANSITION MATRIX, STATIONARY PROBABILITIES, ABSORBING STATES), NETWORK MODELS (SHORTEST PATH PROBLEM, MINIMAL SPANNING TREE PROBLEM, MAXIMAL FLOW PROBLEM), DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING, DECISION MAKING THEORY.
