Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. achieve soil mapping of an agricultural area 2. evaluate land suitability of an agricultural area 3. use GIS in soil mapping in a preliminary level.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Soil mapping techniques and methods, classic and physiographic method, mapping scale, land evaluation methods, mapping of eroded soils, soil erosion and amelioration, soil mapping using aerial photos and satelite images, data base, gegraphical information systems, soil erosion modeling.
