Learning Outcomes
(A) Information on the Roman literature of Late Antiquity (characteristics, genres, writers).
(B) In particular, effective approach to the literary production of the prolific writer of this era, Ausonius. Understanding and appreciation of his literary value.
(C) Familiarity with the existing bibliography and ability to use it.
(C) Acquisition of writing skills for scientific work in general and specifically in relation to Ausonius: adequate use of texts, review of the previous research, presenting new views.
(D) Awareness of the value of the Latin texts of Late Antiquity in terms of both literary and content.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course under the title "Decimus Magnus Ausonius: approaches to work of the prolific writer of Late Antiquity" refers to the literary production of Ausonius. Initially the teacher presents the life and work of Ausonius. Then work assigned to students in specialized subjects. The work developed with the help of instructor. After a first integration presented orally within the seminar. The teacher and students of the seminar criticize. Finally tasks are completed and submitted in writing.
