Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the various representations of death in Modern Greek, both in prose fiction and poetry. The death theme is approached through a wide spectrum, from epitaphs to suicide texts. The main axis of the examination is the development of the theme in connection with literary currents from classicism to modernism, with the emphasis placed on transformation of imagery and rhetorics.

Description
Integrated use of information technology inside and outside the classroom. Effective inside the classroom for face to face teaching through word and powerpoint presentations and outside the classroom via the internet for bibliographic information and online communication of the students with the tutor. Students have also access to information technology at the space especially equipped with computer software and hardware by the Department where digital technology infrastructure includes internet and web services to facilitate word processing and internet access.

Description
Assessment is chiefly based on written essays and oral presentations administered during and at the end of the term. It provides a standard that addresses the core competencies noted in the learning outcomes and concentrates on integration of knowledge rather than simple recall of isolated elements. It also aims to urge students towards original and innovative projects.
