Course Content (Syllabus)
Models in international trade: Ricardo, Heckscher & Ohlin, Deardorf and multiple cones of diversification, heterodox models of international trade. Models of imperfect competition: Dixit & Stiglitz. Economic growth and international trade. Impact of international competition and the diffusion of technology. International trade and income distribution. Gains and losses from international trade: wage inequality, labor market, income distribution
