Course Content (Syllabus)
Direct familiarity with improvisation as a process of musical dialogue, active listening and group experimentation is attempted during the course.
With direct practical experience with the process of musical discovery and an examination of the theoretical background and current research findings related to creative music education, an open dialogue with the teacher’s role in the creative process is attempted.
An insight is gained on preschool children’s need to play and to find ways to express musical thoughts and ideas. The pedagogy of music improvisation searches for ways to help them express their musical thoughts and ideas.
