Learning Outcomes
(a) To acquaint students with ancient Greek ideology, with emphasis on ethics and politics.
(b) To familiarize students with the scientific research on Greek ethics and politics.
(c)To enable students to do original research and to present the results of their research on postgraduate level.
Course Content (Syllabus)
The class focuses on ancient Greek ideology, with emphasis placed on ethical terms, morality ans politics, and with a thorough examination of representative writers and works (histriography, oratory, philosophy). The main point of this course is the modern scientific research on these topics and the writing of a scientific paper on a postgraduate level.
