Learning Outcomes
The students will have acquired the theoretical background for the preparation of teeth for fixed dental restorations and will be able to complete the clinical steps of tooth preparation for fixed prosthetic restorations The students will have acquired the theoretical background for the construction of interim/provisional restorations and will be able to perform all the necessary steps for the construction of interim/provisional restorations

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is the theoretical and laboratory training of undergraduate students to basic clinical procedures for the construction of fixed prosthetic restorations (Crowns and Fixed Partial Dentures). The course consists of amphitheatric lectures (1 hour / week) and pre-clinical laboratory exercise (3 hours / week) on plastic articulating mouth casts on phantom heads. The content covers a comprehensive presentation of the clinical stages required for the construction of a fixed prosthetic restoration and covers in detail all the sections relating to tooth preparation and construction of provisional/interim restorations. The performance of the students is evaluated with self-evaluation questionnaire(sheets) and final evaluation by the responsible faculty member, the successful completion of the laboratory exercise and a successful response to written exams at the end of the 5th semester.

Description
The performance of the students is evaluated with self-assessment questionnaire and final assessment by the responsible faculty member, the successful completion of the laboratory exercise and a successful response to written exams at the end of the 5th semester.Evaluation sheets are given to the students at the begining of the course.
