Through the attendance of this course, students will have the following capacities: 1. they know the methodology of chanting in a choir 2. they have the ability of reading a byzantine musical score 3. they know basic elements of the byzantine repertory

Course Content (Syllabus)
1. they will know the methodology of the teaching of Greek folk music, 2. they will have learnt a representative repertory of Greek folk songs, 3. they will know the procedure of archiving folk music and to choose the appropriate musical material, useful for the educational process, 4. they will make transcriptions, 5. they will have learnt musical-theatrical exercises, which will allow them to fulfill musical performances of Greek folk music.
