Course Content (Syllabus)
Safety in the laboratory of Organic chemistry. Techiques and procedures in Organic Chemistry. Characteristic syntheses. Synthesis of acetanilide Synthesis of o- and p-acetanilide Recrystallization of o- and p-acetanilide - Isolation of p-acetanilide Synthesis of p-nitroaniline Synthesis of diazoninium salt of p-nitroaniline -synthesis of azodye para-red Dyeing of fibres with para- red Preparation of soap from oils Synthesis of 6,10-Nylon Isolation of components of natural products, Alkanna Tinctoria, via extraction Thin Layer Chromatography of the extraction obtained from Alkanna Tinctorial.
