Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. accustom with physical methods of soil analysis 2. apply methods and basic laboratory analysis in the solid, aqueous and gas phase of soil 3. evaluate results and reach to conclusions

Course Content (Syllabus)
Soil sampling. Particle-size analysis and specific surface area. Soil particle density and bulk density. Aggregate stability and size distribution. Water retention characteristic curve, total porosity and pore size distribution. Water storage. Hydraulic conductivity. Soil compressibility. Soil penetrability.
