Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will gain knowledge on modern instrumental methods of analysis in terms of their principles, their handling and their applications in real samples. Further deepen the atomic and molecular spectroscopic analysis methods as well as mass spectrometry. They will also learn information concerning the automation of the use of analytical instruments and stages of chemical analysis.
General Competences
  • Apply knowledge in practice
  • Retrieve, analyse and synthesise data and information, with the use of necessary technologies
  • Make decisions

Student Assessment
Description
Students orally present a literature study on some spectroscopic method and its applications, based on scientific publications of the last decade by the ISI bibliographic databases, Scopus, etc. Finally they answer in the object knowledge questions. At the end of semester, students are examined by written examination on the material taught and on notes and slides.
Student Assessment methods
  • Written Exam with Short Answer Questions (Formative, Summative)
  • Written Exam with Extended Answer Questions (Formative, Summative)
  • Written Assignment (Formative, Summative)
  • Written Exam with Problem Solving (Formative, Summative)
