Learning Outcomes
The course aims to develop the students’ skills and abilities so that they can translate a written text into visual images, be it a short story, a poem or a script.
Course Content (Syllabus)
There are different degrees of difficulty, depending on the text. There are exercises with short extracts from scripts or short stories, so that students try to design a set or different sets as well as the characters’ costumes and approach the general aesthetics of the text. They are also given a whole script with the descriptions of spaces and costumes. We analyse the text and the characters, design the space and costumes. By the end of the course, students have designed a plastic model of the set and completed the costumes.
