Learning Outcomes
By completing the course, the student will have comprehended the basic principles in order to understand and formulate complicated problems of Thermodynamics. The thermodynamic cycles and the phychrometric applications are specifically analyzed.
Course Content (Syllabus)
First law of thermodynamics. Energy balances. Ideal-real gases. Second law of thermodynamics. Entropy-entropy balances. Thermodynamic cycles (Carnot-Rankine-Brayton). Gas Mixtures –Psychrometry- Applications.
