Course Content (Syllabus)
Architectural thinking and theories about architecture have the responsibility to define the problem that architectural creation has to cope with. 'Mythologies' play a decisive role not only in the definition of the problem. Primarily, architectural theories, operate in the direction of the articulation and legitimization of proposed spatial solutions. The investigation of the mythologies emerging through and by the different relationships established by architecture with other disciplines over time, as presented in the first semester indicate the need for a reconsideration of the act of architectural design in a direct link with architectural thinking and its ‘mythologies’.
The course is organised upon lectures, presentations, seminars, small and short-term exercises and panel discussions which will widen the horizons of the students and will offer them interesting insights necessary for their design projects ran in the other modules.
