Learning Outcomes
Knowledge: Specialized knowledge on composite steel and concrete building structures. Competences: Upon successful completion of the course the students will have the competence to conceive, to study and to supervise the construction of composite steel and concrete building structures and simple type of bridges Skills: Ability to apply knowledge and to use know-how related to the specific characteristics and the process of the conception, design and supervision of the construction of composite steel and concrete building structures and bridges.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Composite steel and concrete buildings and bridges. Materials. Special problems-creep, shrinkage, behaviour in high temperatures. Elastoplastic analysis and design of composite structures. Shear connectors. Codes. Methods of analysis and design of composite structures. Structural details.

Student Assessment
Description
The evaluation process includes written examinations during the examination period and oral examination during the presentation of the compulsory individual project. The grade of the project contributes by 30% to the final grade. The evaluation process is presented to the students in detail during the first course.
