Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. posess a basic knowledge of the mechanisms involved in the applied pig nutrition.
2. evaluate the current literature concerning the understanding of nutrient requirements of pigs and least cost computerized diet formulation.
Course Content (Syllabus)
Feeding of weaners, growing-finishing pigs, sows and boars (nutrient requirements for maintenance and production: energy, protein, vitamins, minerals. Computerized ration formulation.
