Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. to understand the processes of wastewater treatment and reuse
2. to handle and solve of wastewater effluent management and use in agriculture.
3. to find the optimus solution for wastewater treatment, the disposal in the natural systems and the protection of water systems.
4. to colaborate and desing case studies of wastewater treatment, management, and to disposal of effluents in natural soil and water systems
5. to find solution of using marginal water quality sources, as effluent of wastewater treatment in agriculture
Course Content (Syllabus)
Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of wastewater. Methods and processes of wastewater treatment for farms and small communities. Natural systems – constructed wetlands – stabilizations ponds. Quality of effluents. Reclaimed wastewater disposal in the soil and groundwater systems. Guidelines and requirements to use reclaimed wastewater in agriculture. Restrictions – monitoring of soil and soil water and agricultural products
