Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. posess a basic knowledge concerning the description and classification of rangelands.
2. evaluate the mechanisms in relation with the improvement and management of the greek rangelands.
3. recognize the most important pasture plants.

Types of Greek grasslands. Greek pasture plant species. Controlling weeds. Feeding value of pasture plants. Grazing capacity. Pasture productivity and range management. Methods and systems of grazing. The forage requirements of each grazing animal. Range improvement.
