Parent selection and population formation by hybridization. Methods of population breeding. Genetic male sterility for population improvement and hybrid development. Type of cultivars (pure lines, hybrids, half sib , ful sib, mixtures, populations, synthetic varieties). Selection schemes on plot or self plant basis.
Mass selection, Pedigree slc. Pure line slc., Recurrent selection, Ear to row, Bulk selection. Backcross method.
Mutation Breeding. Explopitation of haploids and aneuploids in Plant Breeding.
Breeding for resistance to biotic and abiotic conditions. Organic Breeding.
Design of plant Breeding programm and cultivar's releazion. Legislation and Breeder rights.
Institutional framework and International Organizations for pattenting, consolidation and protection of plant cultivars.
