Learning Outcomes
Objectives: The student will: a) learn and understand the risks posed by the profession for the health of himself, his staff and patients, b) know how to clean, disinfect, sterilize and store tools, instruments, materials, and constructions that he/she uses in the dental clinic and generally how to protects himself, patients, other nurses or care givers and dental technicians, c) know the collection and disposal of infectious and toxic waste, d) be informed about the best arrangement and proper equipment placement in terms of ergonomics to prevent occupational health problems related to the dental profession.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Hygiene at Dental Clinic - Dental Waste Purpose: The acquisition of knowledge on: a) preventing the spread of infections in the dental practice, b) the legislation for medical devices in the EU, c) ergonomics and prevention of occupational health problems, and d) management of infectious waste in dental surgery.
