Learning Outcomes
By completeng this course the student will be familiar with the possibilities offered by orthodontic therapy in the treatment of functional and complex occlusal abnormalities and trained, in theory, to use their knowledge in the benefit of the patient. Moreover, students are taught the basics regarding orthodontic materials and the ways to use them.

Course Content (Syllabus)
In this course the student attends seminars of clinical interest in which the following subjects are taught: 1) Basic principles regarding clinical diagnosis of dentoskeletal anomalies, 2) basic principles regarding radiological diagnosis of dentoskeletal anomalies (with intraoralx-rays, orthopantomograms, hand and wrist x-rays, tomographs, postero-anterior and lateral cephalometric radiographs), 3) treatment of dentoalveolar occlusal abnormalities, 4) Angle’s Class II malocclusion treatment, and 5) treatment of impacted canines. Moreover, students follow the various stages of treatment in the post-graduate clinic.
