The students will be able to understand the basic concepts of Political Science. The main aim is the one of developing a critical analysis of the main concepts of Politics.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The main aim of this course is to offer an introduction to the various forms of the political phenomenon. The objective of the course is to present the main concepts and theories in Political Science in an attempt to familiarize students with different aspects of political analysis and explanations of political phenomena. After an introduction to the central question "What is politics?, we examine the following concepts: "power", "political system", the "State",the "civil society",the "ideology / s", the "nation" and "nationalism" Emphasis is also given to the study of parties and party systems.
