Course Content (Syllabus)
Principles of School Hygiene
Purpose: To teach the student of physical education and other related sciences elements of social medicine and school hygiene for the prevention of various diseases, particularly of school age, as well as the value of exercise for the body and the observance of hygiene rules of the particularly sensitive due to the promiscuity of the school premises.
Teaching units:
1. Hygiene of the school (criteria, specifications}.
2. Hygiene of the student.
3. Methods for obtaining anthropometric data of students
4. Developmental process.
5. Infectious diseases.
6. Non-infectious diseases,
7. Causes of school failure.
8. Preventive control of students.
9. First aids at school.
10. Diet of the student in the school canteen.
11. Bad habits of the individual.
12. Vaccines - Preventive ways for diseases and accidents - Rules for health.
13. School hygiene rules - Conclusions.
