Course Content (Syllabus)
Discuss the concept of pollution of ecosystems, analyzed the main forms (atmosfair- waters- etc.) and analyzes the impact on ecosystems and the planet in general (greenhouse effect, ozone hole, etc.).
Reference is made to the management of natural resources, highlights the meaning of the environmental problem and classified into renewable and non. Analyzes issues related to the management of natural resources (water as a resource, forests, wildlife / biodiversity, energy resources -ginetai particular reference to nuclear energy and alternative sources of energy;).
Insert the guiding concept of sustainable development, which includes the rights of future generations, is processed, analyzed and linked to resources and with the current development model, with references to both North-South conflicts, and in food and feeding the planet monocultures and genetically modified foods. Analyzed the problem of overpopulation of the planet and its effects are highlighted. Finally introduced the issue of environmental ethics (ecocentric and anthropocentric) of human obligations to the non-human world and attempt the connection with the previous environmental issues and the concept of sustainability.
