The students will comprehend and learn morphological traits of important plant organs and realize their use in the taxonomy of Spermatophytes become familiar in the identification of Spermatophyte plant specimens, with the use of keys. gain knowledge of diagnostic traits of families and genera of Spermatophytes associated with forest ecosystems. be able to identify in situ plant species of important forest ecosystems.

Description
Achievement of learning goals is evaluated at the end of the semester on the basis of written exams, laboratory exams (identification of plant taxa) and the assembly of a collection of plant specimens. Succesfull pass of the course requires succesfull pass on all three assignments (written and laboratory exams accepted collection of plant specimens) Written exams comprise multiple choice and short/extended answer questions. Total grade is the sum of all grades scored in the three exams/assignments multiplied by a fixed weight of importance as follows: Written exams grade: 70% laboratory excercises grade: 10% Plant collection: 20%
