Course Content (Syllabus)
Masonry structures under gravitational forces and seismic actions. Properties of materials and of unreinforced or reinforced structural members. Structural detailing and construction practices. Typical damage of structural members/structures under seismic actions. Principles of repair for cultural heritage or structures under preservation. Materials and methods for repair / strengthening structural members/structures. Design of simple structural members/structures according to current code design provisions.
