Course Content (Syllabus)
This course aims to offer an analysis of the key criminological ideas:the evolution of crime as a social phenomenon and divergent theoretical interpretations of criminal behaviour. Furthermore, it is provided a discussion on the extent, structure and development of criminality in general, as well as, of specific categories of crimes-in Greece and Internationally-in particular.Finally, it is offered an overview of both informal and formal measures of penal control.
