Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction, definitions, value, frameworks for protection and management of biodiversity at local and global scale. Extinctions. Mapping biodiversity information. Habitat monitoring and management. Monitoring and managing plant genetic resources. Monitoring and managing mammals and their habitats. Monitoring and managing birds and their habitats. Managing invertebrates as natural resources: current applications and new perspectives. Plant and microbial biodiversity of the atmospere. Cultural diversity and ethnobiology.
