Learning Outcomes
The aim of the seminar is to get the students acquainted with archaeological research and scientific reasoning through deep and critical knowledge of archaeological practice. During these courses students are taught how to prepare written papers on specific topics of either general cultural or specific archaeological interest which, then, are asked to present in the class. This process teaches them to learn how to construct an archaeological argument and how to present it to an audience.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the seminar is to present a general picture of ethnoarchaeology as a research strategy which is used to facilitate the archaeological explanation of the past. Ethnographic present is thought to help to understand social phenomena, human practices and activities of the past through the use of analogy. The seminar course will include the presentation of specific ethnoarchaeological case studies and will require the writing of essays on behalf of the participants.
