Learning Outcomes
-have a thorough understanding of the specificity and the differences of Greek criminal law compared to penal legislature in other legal orders
-understand the meaning und the practical effects of the fundamental liberal guaranties enshrined in the Constitution with regard to the adoption and implementation of criminal law rules
-understand the basic concepts and the key doctrinal structures related to the notion of the crime
- understand the basic elements of the most important crimes of the Greek Penal Code
Course Content (Syllabus)
This course (taught in German language) presents the basic principles of the general part (acts and omissions, causality, actus reus, mens rea, defences), as well as the most im-portant crimes of the Greek Criminal Code (homicide, non-fatal offences against the per-son, fraud, theft, etc.).
