Course Content (Syllabus)
The purpose of the introduction to the dogmatic science of knowledge is the systematic examination of the theological ecclesiastical monuments that reflect the faith of the Orthodox Church for human salvation. The projection of Orthodox theology and spirituality is examined in the context of the historical factor, but here an important point remains the systematic reporting of the major chapters of Orthodox dogmatic teaching through source texts. The course is not limited to the simple presentation of data, but moves in the context of the systematic interconnection of historical events of theological significance, while simultaneously examining the genesis and action of the forces that lead to the morphological development of dogmas. Clearly, the history of Orthodox theology and spirituality creates the conditions here for us to discuss, on a comparative level, similarities or differences with other Christian denominations. It is there that the course of Orthodox theology is developed in the context of symbolic theology. That is, the relationship between Orthodox theology and spirituality is set out in the comparative context of the subject of dialogue with other doctrines.
