Learning Outcomes
Students who successfully completed the course are able to:
- distinguish the Orthodox from Scholastic and, more generally, from Western theology and spirituality,
- realize the Orthodox spirituality and the way of the knowledge of the doctrine,
- approach the monuments of tradition (worship, art, rules, conciliar decisions, terms, etc.), which are illuminated by the proponent of historical knowledge,
- distinguish the connection between the past and the present,
- recognize the invasive nature of dogmatic theology both for the whole of modern civilization in general as well as for the Church in particular.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The lesson presents the existential and gnostic preconditions of Orthodox dogmatic teaching compared to scholastic and generally Western theology and tradition. Exact exposure of the content of the Orthodox Faith to a dialogue with Western Christianity. The historical and spiritual factors of the area, where the wording of the doctrines (politics, philosophy, art, etc.), are discussed. The axis is dogmas and symbols.

Oral examination in groups of six at the end of the semester.
The exam is done by the teacher and the results are available to the students.
