Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: -Approach critically Old Testament texts, which refer to the Royalty in biblical Israel -Describe the historical context of the Royalty in biblical Israel -Use the critical text and the relevant biblical terminology as a scientific tool for Old Testament Prophetical books interpretation, which refer to the Royalty in biblical Israel -Interpret the biblical texts by making possible connections to modern reality

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course examines the historical path and events that led to the establishment of the institution of the Royalty in biblical Israel. General introductory issues of the topic are considered. Old Testament texts are presented, which refer to the institution of the Royalty, as it was formed in biblical Israel. The course also includes the interpretive approach of these texts.
