Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to: - analyze the presence of the Mother of God in the Orthodox Church based on the teachings of the Holy and Great Fathers of the Church -distinguish her place in worship history and tradition -realize the theological significance of the figure of Virgin Mary in the plan of salvation.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is to explore the position of the Mother of God in the Orthodox Church according to the teaching of the Holy and Great Fathers of the Church, as well as its worship tradition. Additionally, it will be attempted to present the figure of Virgin Mary as a timeless model of holiness and to highlight its importance for the divine plan as well as at inter-Christian perspective.
