Learning Outcomes
Students at the end of the course will be able to:
- Recognize the functions of the language and its role in a cross-cultural, intercultural and inter-religious environment.
- Analyze language and understand the use of speech especially in religious texts.
- Handle effectively and with precision the language in an inter-religious or intercultural dialogue.
- Teach and analyze religious concepts in an inter-religious environment.
Course Content (Syllabus)
In the course of the second semester the theoretical subjects presented in the course Greek 1 (first semester) are analyzed. They concern issues related to language and its functions in an intercultural and inter-religious environment. Sub-modules: Linguistic identity-Identities and Church, identity-diversity-education, language functions, language and religion, language and culture, mother tongue, language and symbol.
