Course Content (Syllabus)
Principles, content, methods and applications of Analytical Chemistry. Acid-base and redox reactions. Solutions. Substance solubility, concentration of solutions and activity. Principles of electrical neutrality and mass equilibrium. Reaction rate and chemical equilibrium. Equilibrium distribution. Theories of acids and bases. Equilibria of weak acids and bases. Water dissociation and pH scale. Hydrolysis of salts. Buffer solutions. Heterogeneous chemical equilibrium. Solubility product. Equilibria of complex compounds and redox systems. Laboratory exercises on the above concepts.
