Learning Outcomes
Cognitive: To provide the students a basic background in electronics while studying devices from diodes to MOSFETs. Understanding hardware technologies. Basics on solving exercises and problems, demonstration of simulation techniques. Skills: The student would be able to efficiently recognize characteristics of hardware prerformance and capabilities via identifying basic electronic device andr hardware properties. Solving problems and exercises on basic electronics.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Principles of electrical circuits, basic circuits. Elementary Solid State Physics (Energy band theory, Conductivity, Mobility). Electrical properties of semiconductors (electrons, holes, impurities). Electronics: Diodes, rectifier circuits, special diodes and optoelectronic devices. Bipolar Transistors. Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs). Applications to digital circuits. Logic gates. Introduction to Spice.
