Course Content (Syllabus)
Introduction to the cell, the basic unit of life. Cells as experimental systems. Prokaryotic cells, viruses, plasmids and genetic elements transported. The eukaryotic cell, structure and functions of individual organelles, biological membranes and cytoskeleton. Intracellular transport and maturation of proteins. Cell cycle and cell division, differentiation and cell death. Regulation of the expression of genetic information. Molecular mechanisms of signal transduction.
