Course Content (Syllabus)
Τhe basic principles of Quality in environmental pollution control and management. Introduction to Quality Systems ISO and EN. Fundamentals in quality control and quality assurance (QC/QA) of environmental measurements - Standard ISO 17025 - Accreditation of testing laboratories - Validation/verification of environmental testing - Traceability - Sampling - Uncertainty. Examples/applications. Principles and description of Environmental Management Systems. Standards ISO 14001 and EMAS. Examples/applications of environmental management. Environmental legislation - Environmental Quality Standards.
