Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course the students will achieve:
• knowledge of the organizational structure
• knowledge of the different tasks and responsibilities that are common in projects of Official Statistics.
• Knowledge of the regulation of data collection and data dissemination in the Organization.
• Insight in the architecture of databases
• Experience in the use of administrative data in the production of Official Statistics
• Knowledge of the methodology of register based statistics
• Knowledge about the quality assessment of Official Statistics

Course Content (Syllabus)
The internship has an onsite duration of 6 weeks. During the internship, students get acquainted with the following:
• Regulation and legislation (privacy issue and linking of databases)
• architecture of data bases
• statistical methodology of register based statistics
• quality assessment and discussion of differences between sample based and register based statistics
