Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
-describe the theories and underlying biological mechanisms of aging, why we age
-recognize the structure and function of the various cells, tissues, organs and physiological systems of the human body during aging
-understand the biological, morphological and functional alterations/adaptations observed in the human body during aging
-evaluate the effect of exercise and nutrition on the physiological adaptations observed during aging

Description
Communication with students through the e-learning service (elearning). Posting of relevant educational material, information and announcements regarding the course (eg, scientific papers, PowerPoint presentations, internet lectures by scientists / researchers specializing in aging, links to video animations, interactive exercises).
Description
The evaluation and progress of the students will be achieved by the:
a) PowerPoint presentation of a scientific article (60% of the final grade)
b) final written examination (40% of the final grade) in the:
i) PowerPoint presentations of the scientific articles of all students
ii) course textbook material (Joan Vernikos, Robin Hosie. The G-Connection: Harness Gravity and Reverse Aging, chapters 1, 10, 11, 12, Epilogue)
