Upon successful completion of the course, students are expected to:
-understand the relationship between the organization of transport networks and urban space;
-acquire the necessary knowledge regarding the integrated urban transport planning and traffic management in order to create accessible and attractive cities;
-get acquainted with the international policies and practices of sustainable mobility and demand management;
-learn to prepare bibliographic research and to compose scientific knowledge.

Course Content (Syllabus)
The course focuses on providing the necessary knowledge on integrated planning, design and implementation of measures concerning a) the management of urban transport systems in the direction of optimal and efficient operation, b) the demand management to limit use of private car and to promote sustainable mobility, c) the development of modern public transportation for the city of tomorrow.

Student Assessment
Description
Regular attendance and active, informed participation in class discussion and activities is necessary. The grade will be based upon a final examination, a project report and a class presentation. The various components are weighted as follows: Examination 60% and Project 40%.
