Learning Outcomes
The students are expected that at the end of the course they will • be introduced to many forms of alternative economic initiatives such as the cooperatives, the alternative exchange networks and the community supported agriculture • learn about the different approaches of social and solidarity economics and its institutional framework • understand the approach of diverse economies and alterity • be introduced to the differences between conventional and alternative forms of organizing the economy • link alternative forms of economic organization with sustainable spatial "development"

Course Content (Syllabus)
The aim of the course is the critical exploration of the social - solidarity economy in the context of alternative economic and political spaces. At the end of the course students will be able to recognize and understand the various modes of operation of the economy and the existence and possibility of creating alternative economic and political spaces, depending on the geography of the places and their interactions at regional, national and global level.
