General Prerequisites
In order for a student to be taught the role of the 1st or 2nd Assistant Director, as well as the Script Conτinuity, they must know very well every stage of the production of a film: Pre-pre-production, pre-Production, Shooting, Post-production. Consequently, to have been taught and to have been evaluated positively in the 4 laboratories: 1ESSTH1, 2ESSTH1, 3ESSTH1, 4ESSTH1. So far the above is not considered a prerequisite, but in the near future it will be.

At the end of the semester, students will be able to: 1. do the job of assistant director A and B, as well as of the script.

Course Content (Syllabus)
Analysis of production elements of a script, but also analysis of its artistic elements. Pre-production: The first stage of approaching the production. Finding the key collaborators, the key actors and locations. Possible changes in the script. Pre-production: Finding the necessary elements for shooting the film. Timing, lists, Breakdown. Organising the location scouting, the rehearsals, the shooting. Finalizing of finding the actors and crew. Shooting: Shooting routine. Makeup, Hair, Lighting, Rehearsals, Takes, International soundtrack, Sound recordings, Atmos. Post-production: Footage to the editor. Collaboration for extra sounds, Dubbing

This course is directly combined with 8EP1, during which students (practically) make their 1st short film. Based on these films, the role of the 1st and 2nd assistant director as well as the the role of the script continuity, is analyzed and examined. At the same time, during the lessons, "work materials" from other films are shown. Typical samples of scenes from films are also shown and the way in which their shooting was organized is analyzed. Masterclasses are given by Greek creators who analyze the production conditions of their films. Videos from castings, rehearsals, location scoutings are shown.

Student Assessment
Students are evaluated based on the preparation of the 8EP1 films or other screenplays, the lists (15%), breakdown (15%), shooting schedule (15%), Call sheets (15%). They are also evaluated based on their attitude and effectiveness during the shooting and post-production of their films (25%). Finally, they are evaluated by their presence during the course and the exercises during the course (15%).
